Flash maps for Barclays intranet
I've worked on many projects with various Barclays departments over the last four years, helping to build up the relationship between them and the agency I work for, cScape. For this project, I designed an XML-driven Flash application for looking up global employees and organisational information which was well received throughout the organisation and led to more teams engaging us to build customised maps.
At first it was the GRCB team who commissioned us to build a map and it proved to be a popular addition to their intranet site. Further versions of the map were created for other Barclays teams (including Internal Audit, Legal and UK), each branded accordingly and with variations of the map functionality. The success of these projects led to me being invited to present the work at Barclays' monthly managers meeting at the top of Canary Wharf, a great opportunity to increase awareness of the agency's design services.
