Website design for the Carbon Trust in 2006

The agency I work for, cScape, has built a long-term relationship with the Carbon Trust and I've been responsible for the creative of the last two site designs. The template designs feature complex forms, Flash tools, marketing promos and so on, which I have been involved in designing along with the rest of the design team. When launched, the 2007 release of the website was NewMediaAge 'Site of the week'.
We started this project with a 'design foundation' stage aimed at establishing a visual direction for the Carbon Trust website to take. This took the form of three A1 printed boards representing different styles we could apply as a guide to the page template designs. These ranged from a conservative, corporate look on one side to a more colourful and expressive direction on the other side. This was a useful tool to gain a design steer in the early stages of getting to know the client's requirements and their taste.
